He sure aint getting no honey on his honeymoon!

Bollywood supports Imran Khan

Pakistani cartoons!

America only had one dumb politician - Bush
Pakistan is full of them.

And unlike Bush....these people will continue to haunt us.

Take 3 minutes to laugh your ass off. and then another 30 to let the depression sink in =(

What do Bush and Musharraf have in common?

It aint USH....its the fact that they have both now had shoes flung over at them. Oh...Busharraf....I know plenty of non-politicos that wanted to do the same just after reading that pathetic book of yours.

Start a new shoe line now called NRO!

And the hero is....this guy!

Human Rights Campaign needs to take the word "HUMAN" out of their name and mission statement!

I figured Human Rights Champagne would be better but, I still dont see these bigots toasting Champaign with anyone who is transgendered, undocumented or in other words....doesn't look like them.

I have never been a huge fan of HRC thanks to what all my non-white gay friends tell me. However, today I took down their Marriage Rally picture from my profile on facebook and replaced it with this!

Human Rights Campaign needs to stop the bigotry.

You can read more here:

Yesterday QUIP leader, Jerssay Arredondo, was asked by HRC to speak in front of thousands of people in front of the Supreme Court to repeal DOMA. Just before getting on stage he was told to not say he was Undocumented!

SHARE & Post this picture as your profile picture to show your support for our QUIP leaders & to send a message to Human Rights Campaign that LGBTQ rights are Immigrant Rights!

and then this. This Michael Cole Scwartz guy needs to be replaced by someone more eloquent. Let me guess....he went to AU or GW and made fun of people who went to Howard.

Follow your dreams....

Minorities in Pakistan...

Twin Prositutues Resign - 50 years, 355,000 clients.

And I thought I had a stressful career.

Mother-of-four Louise admitted, though, that her arthritis means some positions are now ‘too painful’ – while mother-of-three Martine complained about a drop in custom.

Only one elderly man addicted to his weekly S&M sessions remains a regular, she said.

‘I couldn’t give him up. He’s been coming to me for so long it’s like going to church on a Sunday,’ Martine added.

Congrats Emaan Mahmoud and Momin Zafar

What a beautiful idea. What amazing people.

For every asshole that goes around hurting minorities in Pakistan...there will be a hundred more beautiful people like these people a reason to live.

Oh Jack Schaap’s small Shaft….

Oh you cant make this shit up. But before you watch the video…read about this PERVERT who molested a young girl while preaching religious babble to his church goers!

Evoting no longer feasible for overseas Pakistanis?

My recent post started a barrage of messages in my email and facebook inbox about voting and the one thing everyone was happy with was that at least I was going to vote. But now THIS? What are my options? Lets spread the word.

Congrats Labah Masih!

Labha Masih, whose parents kept sweeping streets and bazaars of Okara to earn livelihood for years, has now become a judge after having passed Punjab Public Service Commission exam.

Congrats Maria Toorpakai: The woman who broke gender boundaries and expectations

She pretended to be a boy so she could prove to the world that squash is not just a man’s game! Kudos to you Maria!

Jinnah Returns - Film

Looks interesting....can either be VERY good or very bad. Hoping for the former.

The short film “Jinnah Returns” is based on a story of Musa Malik, who is shown as a young patriot, running a small NGO, accidentally meets Jinnah who has been covertly living in a guise. Jinnah in the movie has been depicted quite distinctively from his original character. He is shown as a geo economic analyst who has done exhaustive research on the main reasons that entailed this country to such predicaments. The film delivers diversified messages especially for our youngsters who are yearning to have a Changed Pakistan for themselves. An interesting piece of work, that will deliver powerful message to the new generation.

Pakistan's Dark Heart? Or Pakistan's resilient heart?

An Australian rebuttal to the ignorant cover of TIME.

Adorable pic a reader sent me of Malala going to school in the UK!

Imran Khan...I'll vote for you BUT....

Please try your best to not look so bored and arrogant as you have usually looked in the past.

A reader sent me this picture from a disabled conference that PTI is having. Let me be very clear. At this point my vote is for Imran Khan simply because all the ones before him have trashed our country. So let me hold on to some optimism. HOWEVER....those who know me...I do want to play devils advocate here and ask our dear Kaptaan, are you really ready for this? Or are you going to become just another Parvez Musharraf! A somewhat privileged man...with a huge ego...and good intentions. Good intentions are not enough. With a huge ego and the job of running such an unaccountable role as running Pakistan where power is given unconditionally and does more than intoxicates…it sedates….do you promise to not let your good intentions prevail and become action instead of becoming another Musharaff-esque pompous tool who ruined our country because of personal issues.

So…with that being said….im still hoping for the best. And till then…sit up…open your eyes…and show some interest. This picture did rub me the wrong way!

Monday, March 18, 2013 on a Paki movie kick...

but thoughts? Good? Bad?

Fawad Khan always makes for hot candy....although I hope he has learned to say "Noir" instead of "Noyer" by now.

Pakistani police

From a facebook post. This is from an indivdiual who is actively involved in the peaceful protest of persecution against religious minorities in Pakistan.

"Yesterday, when about 30 or 40 of us were holding a peaceful protest at Teen Talwar against the ongoing violence, the police and Rangers moved us from the roundabout within an hour, even though we were not breaking any rules or blocking traffic. Ten minutes later, when we were standing on the sidewalk debating talking, they asked us to leave the area. We walked to a nearby dhaba for a cup of tea and Rangers showed up there as well, saying that they had warned us to break up the protest. They also wanted to take away with them a young man who had spray painted some anti-army and anti-ISI slogans, blaming them (rightly, at least partially, in my opinion) for the security situation. While wall chalking may be illegal, the person to go after is not that young man but political parties, religious groups, companies advertising their products who have plastered the city with their slogans.

Fast forward one day and the security forces take a nap as dozens of houses are torched and thousands rendered homeless in Lahore. They continue sleeping as people plan attacks and carry them out, when people in Quetta, Karachi, Lahore and all over the country watch their lives crumble. Indeed, the greatest threat to this country comes from a small group of people standing on a roundabout with some posters and banners, because that's the only time security forces seem to wake up to the fact that they have a “duty” to do and are “wearing uniform”.

Please try and join the protest against this horrendous crime against the Christian community, today (Sunday) at 4 pm outside the Karachi Press Club."

Rafina/Good Morning Karachi - Sabiha Sumar

Advocate for this film to be shown in Pakistan!

Good Morning Karachi, director Sabiha Sumar from Claire Pijman on Vimeo.

On a side note: Deepak Parwani should not try to act. Just sayin....

Although I dont advocate for anyone being killed...

....the idiotic leaders of Pakistan really need to take note of the hatred Pakistani's have for them.

It should make them think.....wait I forgot...Zardari doesnt think....he doesnt have a brain....

Scratch that!

Hope....for Pakistan....

A friend shared this with me on facebook. Not sure who the original poster is. But it brought tears to my eyes.

While stuck in a 30 minute traffic jam near Baloch Colony and feeling sorry for myself and my countrymen, I spotted a sight that reminded me that this city has not yet been beaten. Amidst the chaos, the lone traffic policeman managing the large intersection completely broke down. Defeated, he retired to the side walk, dodging honking cars on his way. A twenty-something kid in a faded, Metallica T-shirt on a bike next to me yelled out “Chalo!”, seemingly signaling an invisible army of vagabonds. To my surprise, within a minute, in perfect Bollywood fashion, a bunch of kids (that I admittedly had misjudged) got off their bikes and ran over to the policeman. The kids lifted him up, dusted him off and began directing traffic alongside him. Before long, passage ways were being created for ambulances to pass through, motorbikes were picking up pedestrians (there were a lot of people that had been standing on the sidewalk waiting for a bus, but unfortunately the buses weren't stopping) , cars were slowly moving and best of all, drivers were rolling down their windows the thank the brave young boys. Karachi, you are not lost – there is still much to cherish and much to save. I just wish more civilians would volunteer their time to making a positive change (no matter how small) versus sitting back and cribbing about the situation. Here’s to those who continue to give us hope. The rest of you, Please stay safe!

Congrats Imran Qureshi on the MET!

Shame-ila Farooqi

The bimbo has spoken (and we wish she never had)

Sharmila said - “Abbas town is in District Central and Mohatta in District South Khi. They have separate Dig’s to Ssp’s to sho’s.”
I ask - do you even honestly know what those acronyms stand for? You know they arent actual words honey

Sharmila said - “Oh 32000 police personnel were protecting 400 guests? Find a better excuse to bash me!”
I ask - Did you fail Math in grade school? Why would we even dare to bash you. We all know you go around slapping people in airports.

Sharmila said - “Ok! So the blast was my fault and the unfortunate casualties were because Clifton Police was around Mohatta…If it soothes the haters keep abusing”.
I ask - Haters? so what are you Jay-Z now. the only thing that would sooth me was if you got laryngitis....for like...the rest of your fucking life!

Sharmila said - “And one final clarification. My engagement was on 24th Feb at my house. Yesterday was a dinner. Simple
I ask - Simpul? Honey there is nothing simpul in your life...well...maybe your brain!

Protest at Sindh Chief Minster's House

Proud of our youth in Pakistan. In light of the douchebaggery that is Sharmila Faroogi's "ANGAGEMENT DINNER" while our country is ripped to shreds and the Abbas Town tragedy, youth in Karachi decided to protest against the provincial government's failure at clamping down violence in Karachi. Senior government officials enjoy unlimited security for themselves - although honestly those are lives we could do without- they made the smarter choice of protesting NOT at the official CM House, BUT in front of the Chief Minister's personal house in DHA. I would have loved to see the lock on his face when he couldnt hear the dialogues of his favorite star-plus drama because the youth of Pakistan want justice and freedom. Hopefully this will be the first in a series of protests at the residences of other VIP state officials also. Padash salutes you!
